EN 81-58 is a European Standard that specifies the fire resistance test procedures for lift landing doors. It is part of the EN 81 series.
EN 81-58 defines:
Test methods for assessing the fire resistance performance of lift landing doors.
Classification of fire resistance duration (typically E30, E60, E90, or E120), where the number refers to the number of minutes the door can resist fire.
Why It Matters
Elevator doors must resist fire to:
Prevent fire and smoke from spreading between floors.
Allow safe evacuation or rescue operations.
Protect the lift shaft, which could otherwise act as a vertical chimney.
Who Needs to Comply?
Elevator manufacturers and suppliers.

FUJI Precision elevator factory has EN-81 certification, fire door certification, and all accessories have type test reports.
